• Which version of Lightroom you're using?

• What device and operating system you're using (Windows, macOS, iPhone, iPad, or Android)?

• Are you importing from a memory card, external drive, or local storage?

Also, when the photos turn gray and freeze, does the app become completely unresponsive, or does it eventually recover?
