Question

App crashes and works slowly, shows weird colours

Lightroom is working consistently slow and constantly crashes. Shows weird colours and textures. Tried:

  • installing and reinstalling
  • upgrading and degrading lightroom versjons
  • turning pc on and off
  • using GPU on high performance 
  • using no GPU
  • upgrading GPU 

Any ideas? It's running so slow that I can't do anything at all...

Hey, GabGibek! Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more details to help you figure this out. 

 

What version of Lightroom and Windows are you using? Does this happen when open any specific file type? Is it JPG/RAW/PNG? 

 

 

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue. 

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

It's recommended to back up your preferences before preference reset.
