Subject: Lightroom CC: Persistent "Unable to Connect to Adobe server" Error on Windows ARM (1 Month)

Hello everyone,

I'm hoping to get some community insight on a persistent and extremely frustrating issue I'm having with Adobe Lightroom CC.

 

**Issue Description:**
For approximately the past month, I have been consistently receiving the "Unable to Connect to Adobe server" error message whenever I try to open Lightroom CC. This prevents syncing, accessing cloud libraries, and severely impacts my workflow. The error occurs reliably, and I suspect it might be related to my system's specific architecture or resource management.

 

System Information
To provide as much context as possible, here are my device's specifications:
* **Operating System:** Windows 11 Home aarch64 (Kernel WIN32_NT 10.0.26200.6899 - 25H2)
* **Host Device:** ASUS Vivobook S 15 S5507QA_S5507QA (1.0)
* **CPU:** Snapdragon(R) X Plus - X1P42100 - Qualcomm(R) Oryon(TM) (8) @ 3.30 GHz (This is an ARM-based processor)
* **GPU:** Qualcomm Incorporated Qualcomm(R) Adreno(TM) X1-45 GPU @ 1.11 GHz

 

Troubleshooting Steps Taken
I've already spent several hours chatting with an Adobe tech support representative. During that session, we attempted numerous troubleshooting steps, including (but not limited to):


* Checking firewall settings
* Modifying the hosts file
* Complete reinstallation of Lightroom CC
* Flushing DNS cache

 

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue, and the support session concluded without a solution.

 

## **Expected Outcome**
I should be able to connect to Adobe servers without error to fully utilize Lightroom CC's cloud syncing and other online features.

 

Actual Outcome

The "Unable to Connect to Adobe server" error persists, rendering my Lightroom CC application largely unusable for my needs.

 

Has anyone else experienced this specific issue for an extended period, especially on a Windows ARM device, or after going through official tech support without a resolution? Any advice, workarounds, or suggestions would be incredibly helpful!

Hey, @SamGreenwood. Welcome to the Lightroom Community.  I'll help you figure this out. I've checked the account you're signed into the community with & I've located your account.

 

As your subscription is an entitlement via your school/institute, an IT team or Administrative body must've been handling your subscription. Please check with your institution's IT/administration to understand the entitlements available through their licensing agreement.
