Archive Album Locally almost never finishes

Whenever I try to use the “Archive Album Locally” function, it stops after copying some photos and does not finish. I tried to archive on a NAS, but the same happens when I use the SSD of my computer. It seems that small albums (less than 50 photos) are not affected. While I need to restart a few times for albums of a few hundred photos, it appears to be impossible to finish the archiving process for albums of more than 1000 photos. Is this an issue in Lightroom, or can I try something to solve this?

    Hey, @tobi1234. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

    What exact version of Lightroom and the operating system are you working on? Is this a personal or work (IT-managed) machine?


    Try moving the images & videos to a new Test album > right-click the Test Album > Select 'Make Album Available Offline'> then try archiving and check how it goes.
