Automated selections in lightroom?

Hi! 

When Im done with a shoot, I usually get a list of file numbers from my clients. These Numbers refereres to the pictures they like me to edit.

When it's 10-20 pics, no problem, but when we're takling 100's its a different story..

Is there any way to make a selsction based on these filenumbers? Can I import the list/Numbers somehow an have lightroom automate the selection Process?
