Automatic import to LR on Android

Dear,

I am currently using two mobiles - an Andoid (Huawei P20 pro) and an iPhone.

When using LR CC on the iPhone, things are working as expected. This expectation is that after I enabled the automatic import of photos from the camera roll these are actually imported.

Unfortunately with the Android device, this is not working. Even though I set up the automatic import, new photos are only added when opening the app, but seemingly not in the background.

Any suggestions on how I can improve or even overcome this behaviour?
