Automatic smoothing of photos?

Question

When I open my images from my iPhone in lightroom they automatically are edited and like "smoothed" out. They become brighter and less defined - and I can't seem to stop this happening.

Does anyone know how to stop this?

Hi @Allie_doubleyou! Welcome to the community!

When you get a chance, could you tap the menu button in the top left corner, go to Preferences, then Import Settings, and check what option you have selected for RAW images? Try switching to one of the other settings and see if that gives you a result closer to what you're looking for.
