Batch Reject photos in Detail View not working the same as in Grid View

Question

When I shift select multiple images in grid view and hit X to reject them, they get all rejected as expected.
When I shift select multiple images in detail view and hit X, only the current image gets reject, which is not what I would expect. I can right click and set the flag to rejected and it rejects all of them as expected, but the extra 2 clicks to do that is annoying. Can we get the same batch rejection functionality in the detail view please?

Hi @davidp65977234, Thank you for reaching out! The behavior you're seeing is how it's actually supposed to work. Lightroom doesn’t mirror Lightroom Classic’s “target photo vs selected photos” logic. The only way to reject multiple in the Detail view is precisely what you’re doing: right-clicking → Set Flag → Reject. The only faster option is: After you select the images to flag in the detail view, hit G to jump back to Grid and then X to reject all in one keystroke. Hope this helps!
