Big Sur work around?

Question

My iMac runs on Big Sur (it won't update the OS beyond that), and the creative cloud says my system isn't compatible with Lightroom.  Is there anyway around this, or do I just have to accept that I can't use my desktop for editing?

If you are using Lightroom desktop, not Lightroom Classic, the same procedure can be used to install Version 6.5, i.e. use the tri-dot icon for the Lightroom entry in the Apps section of the Creative Cloud desktop app ans select "Other Versions".
