Black boxes instead of images

I run Lightroom version 3.4 on OSX 10.13.6 and sometime between November 26th and December 20th, the syncing of the images with the cloud stopped working. I just get black boxes instead of images. But I can see image info with location indication. And if I go in through a web browser, the images are visible.

    Bugs are not accepted against older, no-longer-supported versions of both the App and the OS.
