Black & White XMP - Different behaviour in Adobe Apps and API's

We have several Xmp files which were exported from Lightroom Application. These Xmp data were passed to the Adobe API (https://adobedocs.github.io/photoshop-api-docs/#api-Lightroom-xmp-post), which takes the input of Xmp data and generates the image w.r.t the Xmp in the input data. The issue happened for couple of Xmp data where the Xmp were returning a Black & White image when applied in the Light Room Application and the same Xmp applied via API was returning a colorful image.

Isn't that suppose to be similar ?

Any help regarding this issue will be appreciated.
