Blur tool

I'm unable to use blur tool from past few days it's freezing the app from using other tools in the app

Haven't got the answer sorry but came here to say the same thing is happening to me and has been for a few weeks. Even after updating the app recently. 

The app will be fine with everything else, but as soon as I click on the blue function, it won't work and everything else on the app freezes. I'm only able to use the app again once closing it completely and starting it up again. 

Quite frustrating as it was a great tool.

What device model and iOS version are you using?

 

Does it seem like your device is getting warm when this occurs?  If so, it could be thermal throttling trying too hard to prevent your device from overhearing.  The team is already looking into how to fine tune the thermal controls that seem to affect how well certain computationally complex features perform.

 

Do you have a case on your phone?  Just as an experiment, if you take that off to help you device stay cooler, does the feature work better?  Of if you try this first thing in the morning, when your device and ambient temperatures are cooler, does this allow Lens Blur to work better?

The LR Mobile app recently added some thermal controls to help prevent devices from overheating.  Does this problem happen to you after you've been using the app for a while and when the device is warm?  Or does it also happen soon after you wake your device when it is still cool?

 

Or, does this seem to happen because of specific actions/steps you use in Lens Blur?
