Blurry/pixelated images while editing in Lightroom Mobile

Hello,

I have an issue with editing photos with Lightroom, version 9.3.1) on my device Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ (12 GM RAM, 256 GB capacity, model: SM-X810NZAAEUE).

Steps to replicate the issue:

1. Open any file with Lightroom
2. Go to edit mode
3. Select any slider edit (exposure, temperature, etc.)
4. Use slider
5. Notice the image gets blurry/pixelated for a while and then rerenders in the full quality.

I also attach a video with the issue reproduction. I tested editing the same image on Galaxy S21 Ultra, iPhone 13 pro, and iPad 11" 4th generation, on none of those devices the issue is replicable.

This is such a bummer since I bought the Galaxy Tab S9+ dedicated to editing pictures in Lightroom.

Hi @essa_8494, Would you be able to share a screen recording of this issue? Do you encounter the same issue in any of the other menus? Can you also share your system info? You can find this by going to Help > System Info, copying and pasting it into a text file, and attaching it here. In the meantime, I would recommend a few things to try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Reinstall Lighrtoom: Try reinstalling Lightroom on your device.

2. Clear RAM Cache: Clear the RAM cache by closing all active apps that may slow down the tablet's performance. Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Memory and tap Clean now.

3. Storage Cleanup: Use the built-in Samsung file manager to perform a storage cleanup. Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Storage and tap on Clean now to remove unnecessary files.

4. Check Battery Saving Mode: Ensure that the tablet is not in battery saving mode. Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Power saving mode and turn it off if it is enabled

5. Remove Junk Files: To maintain device speed, clean junk files, old downloads, and unused applications. Go to Settings > Battery and Device Care> Storage and tap on Clean now.

If none of these steps work, please send that screen recording and system info. Hope this helps!  ^CH

Hi Mikołaj37968872qmln. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. Thanks for sharing the details. I'll help you figure this out.

Does this happen with a particular image or with all the images? What is the image format? Is it JPEG/RAW/PNG?

Please check this discussion if this helps you: https://adobe.ly/4bbRJ3C

Thanks,

I'm having the same issue. I am using Lightroom on the Samsung Galaxy Tab s10 Ultra. Any time I make adjustments to an image the image gets blurry/ pixelated while I'm making adjustments until I let go of the slider then it takes a short time to render and show the updated image. This happens to all the images. I am editing smart previews that are synced via Lightroom cloud and those images were originally added to my Lightroom via the LrC on Deskstop with sync enabled.

Also got that issue, also on my samsung tablet. I don't see that issue on my phone though, even when fully zoomed in. Has anybody figured out a solution, this makes edits on the tablet really annoying.
