Question

Bulk or Automated Versioning

I use Lightroom Creative Cloud to edit photos before exporting them to Google Photos. I save a version of the Lightroom edits when I export to Google named "Google Photos". This is an extremely manual process, so I'm looking for a bulk or automated (I'm fine using an API) way to version a few thousand photos. All photos that need a version are tagged with "Needs Version", so I could search for these, create a version, then untag.

Any ideas?

I don't think this can be done in Lightroom Cloudy as it doesn't have an API like what you are looking for and you can't search on version so you have to do tags. This can be done in Classic with the very full fledged API there (versions are called snapshots in Classic or you can use virtual copies there). My guess is that the Anyfilter plug in from John Rellis (a forum regular) can actually do the filtering on snapshot name in Classic already: https://johnrellis.com/lightroom/anyfilter.htm
