Hey, @4363378. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more specific info about this, and I'll help you figure this out.

Please share the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Does this happen when dragging images from internal or external drives? Are you working in Lightroom view or Local view?

Have you recently updated Lightroom or the Windows OS?

Try this: set Lightroom to run with administrator privileges by default.

  • Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom
  • Right-click on Lightroom.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Change Settings for all users > Check 'Run this program as an administrator'

  • Click on OK & Apply to save the changes.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this. Does import when you manually target the folder & images?

Try moving a few images to the OS Default folders like Pictures, Documents, & Downloads and check if they import as expected.

Best,
