Can't export files due to space check error

Lightroom (v8.3) won't let me export files. I'm working out of the local drive and have plenty of space!

I get the following error message:

"There was a problem with checking how much disk space you have free"

Any idea how to resolve this?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. This has been resolved.

The solution was to restart Lightroom when this error occurs.

Nothing to do with OneDrive, any other application, or sync issues. As stated, the working file is local and nothing was being worked on off the cloud storage. Cheers.

I'm having this issue now. I've restarted the application, my computer, uninstalled it, but the problem is still there. Any solutions?

Hey, @SeanWada. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Lightroom Classic from Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

What is the destination for your exports, and where are the original images stored, local or external? Did the steps shared above not help?

Please include screenshots of the export settings.

Thanks!

Hi @Sameer K

I'm using Lightroom Desktop (or the version that just has Lr in the logo) and not Lightroom Classic. I typically export to my external hard drive, but I also tried exporting to my computer in my "Downloads" folder. Both attempts sent back the same error message. The orignal images are pulled from my external hard drive, but all are uploaded onto the cloud that comes with Lightroom. I also have about 12GB of cloud storage available. On my Mac, I have 50GB of free storage.

I did delete the Lightroom file (Users>Pictures>Lightroom Library.lrlibrary), and relaunched the application, then after loading all my photos again from the cloud, I was able to export. If there is another way to fix this in the future, that would be much appreciated!

Thank you,

Sean

Hey, @5andor. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

What is the image format of the original files? Does this happen with all the images? Before going further, you must ensure you have all the data backed up locally or in the cloud. You can log on to Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/3LUKpiM) to check and confirm everything is synced.

Is Microsoft OneDrive backup enabled on this machine? Please share the location where you are trying to export.

Awaiting hearing from you. Thanks!
