Can't import photos to LR 4.2

Question

HiI've just downloaded LR to edit my ARW files but I can't import anything into LR. Is my iMac to old? Or am I missing something? Thanks

If Lightroom opens, then you should be able to import.

If it's not a personal plan but an educational one then this may limit the ability to import as Cloud Storage may not be included.

In this case you would need to contact the plan administrator.
