Can't see local photos on external drive

I moved from LR Classic to LR Cloud. All my photos are synced to the cloud.

In my "Preference" I selected to "Store a copy of all originals" to my external drive but I can't see them in Lightroom's navigator but when I use "Finder" I see them in a nested folder.

Anybody have any idea to why this is so? I am new to my Apple Mac.
