Hello! I'm new to Lightroom and I'm trying to figure out how to turn on cellular data so I can save the pictures to my camera roll. I have tried everything but the option to turn it on is greyed out. Any tips?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out.

Which version of Lightroom mobile and Android are you using? What is the device specification?

In the preferences menu, the option "Use Cellular Data" is switched OFF or ON?

If it is OFF, please turn it ON because:

When you enable the Use Cellular Data option in the app preferences, Lightroom for mobile uses your cellular network's Internet bandwidth to:

  • Download an image for editing from the cloud when you open it in the Loupe view.
  • Sync any image adjustments or metadata changes to the cloud.
  • Upload/ Export any recently added images to the cloud and phone.

However, if a WiFi connection is available on your mobile device, Lightroom for mobile prioritizes the WiFi connection over your cellular network's Internet connection.

Let us know if this helps.

Regards,

Hi.

I'm using a Redmi 10C with Android version 11 and Adobe Lightroom version v9.2.2

The option to use cellular data is greyed, I cannot turn it on.
