Question

Cannot import ".lrlibrary" into newest version of Lightroom CC when I switched CC accounts.

Hi there!

So I recently purchased my own Creative Cloud account after being on a shared account for a few years, and when I went to open Lightroom CC today, there were no photos at all. I still have my .lrlibrary file in my Photos folder on my mac (it's 110GB), and when I try to drag it into Lightroom CC, I get this message:

"No images that can be imported were found in the selected source"

I was using the latest version of Lightroom the last time I created the catalog with my old CC account.

Does anyone have suggestions of what I could try to re-import my old Lightroom library?

Thanks so much!

The cloud based Lightroom doesn't really work in this way as it will always sync from the Cloud as that is the Master.

One of the only ways I know of transferring photos between accounts is to create a Shared Album set to Can Contribute and fulfill that from the original account.

Others may have further advice or workarounds.
