cannot import or sync on mac since upgrade to Catalina 10.15.6

I keep getting a message saying I dont have permissions to create a file when trying to import and it wont download synced files to local storage. I am using a usb drive which has worked perfectly until now and my sign on has read write access to the lightroom folders. I have reinstalled and have run out of ideas. Any help appreciated

You need to give the app proper permissions. The screenshot shows Lightroom Classic, but this applies to any app that needs to access removable volumes.

Many Thanks for the reply. In Lightroom CC it just had the option for Removable Volumes not the 5 shown in screenshot but it was selected. I tried turning off and on again as well just to be sure. 🙂

I have now solved this having completely repointed the local sorage and resynced everything it is now working. For some reason it didnt recognise the drive so it wasnt a permissions issue as the error said but more of a not recognising the drive. I dont know if a change in catalina had affected this but its working fine now.
