Please help!

I'm wondering how to save non-jpeg edited photos from Lightroom CC to a flash drive.

I can only chose jpeg or original + settings.

I have chose original + settings and viewed them on the flash drive but I'm only able to view the original unedited photo.

I'm guessing the edited ones are right beside the original but titled with xmp…

I cant view the xmp images because it says its not supported or its damaged

Please help asap I'm trying to deliver these pix asap to my client. TIA!

Unless your client has access to Lightroom or Photoshop or other Adobe apps, there's no point sending raw files using the "Original + Settings" option....Lightroom is a "non-destructive" editor, which means the original files are never updated as you edit them, you are always working with an editable preview which changes as you apply edits. Those edits are stored in the catalog in the form of simple edit instructions. If you use the "Original + Settings" export option, Lightroom creates a copy of the original raw file and the XMP sidecar file (which is where the "settings", including those edit instructions, are stored). To view the edited raw file your client would then need to open the original + XMP sidecar file, but the program used would need to be able to understand and apply the edit instructions contained in the XMP sidecar file. Typically only Adobe applications will be able to process the edit instructions.

So....if the client does have LR or PS, and specifically wants the raw file, send the raw file with the associated XMP file. If the client does not have LR or PS, I'd suggest exported as Jpeg (Full size) and sending that instead.....that will be a rendered version of the raw+edits.

You might also consider the album sharing feature of LRCC, i.e. you put the images that you want to send to the client in a specific album, which you then enable for sharing, and then you simply send the URL link to that shared album. The client simply views the images in any browser, and will always be seeing the current edited version.  If they have an Adobe ID they can also download a copy of the shared images, and also do comments/likes.
