Change default DNG settings

Hi all,

 

I've been battling with turning off the auto-application of `Enable Lens Correction` when a new image is added the directory I have open. 

 

I've got my `Lightroom > Preferences > Import > Raw Defaults` preset set to one I've created that has that setting turned off, this works for CR3 files but doesn't seem to apply to DNG files. Is there a way to make it apply to those too that I'm missing?

Your DNG images are apparently coming from DxO (PureRaw?), and that means they are not raw images anymore, but linear RGB images. That is why your raw default preset is not applied to these DNG images.

    Ah, that makes sense thank you and should have been obvious! Yes, from PureRaw.

    @JohanElzenga do you know if there is a way to change the default settings of images in that state, or is there only an option for raw images?

    AFAIK, Lightroom only has an option for raw files.

      Hey, joseph_9814! I'll need more info to help you figure this out. 

       

      What version of Lightroom are you working on? Could you post the screenshot of the panel? Does this happen with one DNG image or with all the images? 

       

      Try the steps and let us know if this helps: 'Reset all default develop settings' in preferences. This will not clear up the issue until you reset the affected images.

      Hi Shivani,

      Thanks for the reply, this is the version I'm on.

       

      The Import preferences tab and the corresponding preset:

       

      It happens to all DNG images, I am not importing these images each time, they are appearing in the directory already opened in lightroom.

      I have a directory setup as; photos > [date] and the [date] folder contains all the .CR3 files. These appear fine, not having the `Enable Lens Correction` turned on.

      But when I process images and they appear in a folder photos > [date] > dxo as .DNG files, they always have `Enable Lens Correction` turned on.

       

      I can't seem to find `Reset all default develop settings` under any tab, am I missing where it is?
