Cloud Storage on Laptops

Hi there,

I don't know if I am asking an idiotic question or not, but I have 1 Tb of cloud space in my subscription but I couldn't uploaded all my last upload photo session as it said my laptop didn't have enough available memory for them despite being no where near my cloud limit. Do I always need enough available storage space in my laptop despite having a cloud?  All the people that I know use the lightroom classic version and not ye cloud.

@JayW89  Before uploading to the Cloud, Lightroom makes a duplicate locally, which fills up the local cache (this eventually gets replaced when you access stored files for editing etc).

Depending on how much local storage you have, try uploading in smaller groups, so it's not trying to duplicate too much as once.

Also, to help reduce  Lightroom's local cache size, you can change this value in Preferences.

You can also store a copy of the 'original' files on a local drive if you wish. However, you need to enable this from within Lr Preferences.
