Comenzar a usar Lightroom

Quiero empezar a usar este programa, pero la cuestión es que al importar las fotografías que tengo en mi PC, unas 10000 fotografías y videos, por qué copia las fotografías? es decir, tengo las fotografías duplicadas.

Teniendo en cuenta lo que ocupan no veo muy normal el tener que ocupar el doble de espacio., tengo que tener una unidad de disco destinado solo para el programa?

    Hi there,

     

    Lightroom desktop uploads all your images to the cloud so that you can acess them on any device.

     

    You can specify where Lightroom stores your Originals.

    • To change the default location or change the current custom location, click Browse, choose a folder in the (Mac) file picker window/ (Win) Select New Storage Location dialog. The new location is now displayed in the Local Storage preferences.
    • To restore a custom location to the default location, click Reset.

    Pero si ya las fotos las tengo en una carpeta de una unidad de disco duro, por qué tiene que duplicarlas?

    Aperture library is read protected, no other app can read the contents of Aperture library and same is the case with Lightroom. Lightroom creates a separate copy of those images and then import them in Lightroom. You can delete or move the Aperture library to an external drive to save some space.
