Question

Completely unusable Lightroom does not repsond to anything, just keeps uploading. No local functionality, absolutely functionless right now for the next hours.

    Sorry you’re running into this. From your description, it sounds like Lightroom is getting stuck in an upload/sync state and becoming unresponsive even for actions that should be local.

    To help us understand what’s happening, could you please share:

    • Which Lightroom app are you using? Lightroom Desktop (cloud), Lightroom Classic, Lightroom Mobile, or Lightroom Web?
    • Please share your full System Info. Help > System Info. Copy & paste it here.
    • A short screen recording showing the uploading state, clicking folders/albums, & lightroom not responding to those actions.
    • Approximately how many photos/videos is Lightroom currently trying to upload?
    • Does pausing sync temporarily restore responsiveness?
    • If you disconnect from the internet and relaunch Lightroom, does the behavior change at all?
    • Whether this started suddenly or after a recent update/import

    The more detail we have, the easier it will be to determine what the issue could be, and we can guide you through relevant troubleshooting steps.

    VIEWING A FOLDER? NO REACTION. 
    ADDING THOSE FEW ALREADY BY PHONE UPLOADED PICTURES INTO AN OWN ALBUM AND SHOWING ONLY THIS? NO REACTION.
