Copy Paste edits EXTREME delay

Copying and pasting edits from one photo to another is USUALLY instant, but lately it will sometimes bring up a text box saying "Pasting edit settings.  AI Settings will be updated next" and a progress bar at the top left appears which doesn't move at all for a few seconds or several minutes (always one or the other).  It happens even when the only edits are basic color/light slider adjustments, whether I "choose which edit settings to copy" and then right click-apply edits to one photo or just CTRL+C and CTRL+V.  It's also SUPER annoying that you have to click twice on "remove" to deselect it every time now from the "choose which edit settings to copy" since it defaults to people and reflection removal.  I've been having more and more issues with LR CC the past few months despite no hardware changes and no major updates (but programs/drivers ARE up to date) including high crash frequency, sluggish performance after several detail edits, suddenly going awfully pixelated while editing at a zoom, etc.

PC user, Windows 10, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, 32Gb DDR5 RAM, SSD with 20+% free space.  The problems happen regardless of how many photos are uploaded to it, which is now 2585 of them because editing is taking FOREVER dealing with these issues.

Also, making this bug post frequently fails as it makes you "choose one or more topics" but they usually don't load so there's nothing to select.  Getting pretty sick of paying for something with so many problems!
