Copying isn't working properly

Is there a reason why "move to" album results in the image being moved completely out of the album, but it will immediately then tell you, "you can also achieve this same thing by dragging and dropping," when drag and drop actually results in copying the image? It is hugely obnoxious because I've ended up accidentally deleting things that I didn't mean to, or creating duplicates of things in different places when I really don't want to do that. There seems to be a limited amount of internal logic for how this software works.

I am trying to organize a trillion photos and I am having a really hard time understanding why a $250 billion company can't figure out a way to manage duplicates or make this software a bit faster than, you know, molasses in January, or whatever.

I would call customer service but I've already spent hours on the phone with them about an account permissions issue ("you don't have an account" turned into "you have two accounts" turned into "your free trial has ended a week early") and they are no help.
