When capturing photos directly from Lightroom in DNG format, on Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, they get corrupted. From within camera they look OK just after capture, but when trying to access them from library, I am getring only purple and violet vertical stripes.
When you capture photos directly from Lightroom on mobile, I don't think you get a choice on which lens to use, and it uses the main "Galaxy S24 Ultra Rear Wide Camera", the 200mp camera, but DNGs are saved as 12.4mp.
I have another camera app (ProShot) I use that allows to use all 4 back cameras. Also saves all DNGs around 12.4mp. Three of the cameras work fine saving DNGs, but the DNGs from the "Galaxy S24 Ultra Rear Wide Camera" have the same issues on this camera app as well.
So the issue may not be with Adobe.
I'm not sure who is responsible for taking the 200mp of raw data from that sensor and trimming it down to 12.4mp of raw data for the DNG? (Android OS?), but I suspect that when this is happeing, the process is not taking in to account the possiby different bayer pattern for the 200mp sensor? A complete guess on my part.
I've seen the same issue when using their expert raw camera app. I can fix most of the issues by doing lots of extra editing in the color mix section, so I believe this is something that Adobe could look into and offer better support for. Please consider!
Samsung fixed the issue with an update to the Expert RAW camera app. Once you install the update, going to settings and disable the lossless raw option.
Hey, @federnet. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll clarify this for you.
We're yet to release an update with the full support on Lightroom mobile for the whole S24 line-up on Lightroom mobile(iOS/Android). You can try shooting RAW images from the device camera & edit them on a desktop with Adobe Camera Raw v16.1.1, as it has full compatibility as of last week.
