Dates for photos downloaded from iCloud (CC vs Classic)

Hi - when I download photos from iCloud and import them to Lightroom CC, CC's 'By Date' view agrees with the dates displayed in iCloud (eg photos taken July 1st).  However, I can't find any reference to those dates if I import to Lightroom Classic - it only seems to recognise teh date I downloaded teh photos.

I really need to use teh original download date for filing purposes.  Any advice would be appreciated.
