Delete local copy after migration

Hi,

I just migrated my catalog from Lightroom Classic CC to Lightroom CC. While doing this, lightroom made a new copy of all images.

The migration is now done, and have been synced. Can I now safely remove (just using windows explorer) all the original images as well as those extra that was made during the migration process? Given that I do not want a local copy and that I need disk space

Thanks!

Fredrik

Fredrik,

Yes you can remove them if the sync is complete. I would back them up somewhere first. Maybe copy everything to an external drive and put it away on a shelf somewhere.

You can check the cloud icon in the upper right to make sure the sync is complete. I like to double check the sync online, at lightroom.adobe.com. Log into your account. You should see all of your images there. If you do, then you don't need them on your computer anymore.
