Question

Deleting a computer from my Account

I have perpetual licenses forAdobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 and Adobe Photoshop CS6.  I am reinstalling them on my active 2 computers and get a prompt that I have installed CS6 on more than 2 computers.  How do I access the list of computers CS6 is installed so I can delete an old computer?

Lightroom v4 (Perpetual) does not need online activation (although you can 'Register' with Adobe). You should only need a Serial Registration Number for an install of v4 to work. (If purchased as an 'upgrade' then you would also need a Serial Number for a previous version.)

CS6 is different!  You can only Reset your Activations (that limits your active installs) by a Chat with Adobe.

Chat to a sympathetic Support staff member,

CONTACT ADOBE SUPPORT from this Chat link: Be Signed-In here with your Adobe ID and allow cookies in your web browser.

Online Chat: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen

Ask only for ACTIVATION RESET of CS6. (Do NOT ask for 'Support' -you will be referred back to the forums!)

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Thank you.  I'll give it a try.

Nothing seems to work and the chat people seem unable to perform a simple task although they finally told me that CS6 is no longer supporeted.  I'm giving up.  Too much time spent on dead ends.  Thanks for your help.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. We're here to help.

Are you trying to use the software on both systems together? A single license for Adobe CS6 and earlier applications lets you install an app on two computers. However, you can use the application on only one computer at a time. Did you use any other device apart from the current two machines? If yes, have you directly uninstalled it or deactivated the account?

Check the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/error-activation-limit-reached-sign.html

Let us know if it helps.

Regards,

Ranjisha
