Question

DNG files previously imported into Lightroom Mobile suddenly displaying with poor resolution

I just noticed today that DNG files I have imported into Lightroom Mobile (Lightroom Photo and Video Editor) during the past year are suddenly displaying with very poor resolution (when opened in Lightroom Mobile).  This was not the case as recent as a couple days ago.  Did something change with the most recent release of Lightroom Mobile?

I’ve had Lightroom Mobile Premium for almost a year and I suddenly noticed today that DNG files I imported into Lightroom Mobile over the course of the last 10 months or so, are no longer displaying properly; the resolution is severely degraded. Did something change with the last version upgrade of Lightroom Mobile?  As of a couple days ago, these files looked fantastic. I had Denoised them using Topaz, then imported into Lightroom to further edit and enhance. What changed?  in the two images I've attached the first (7406) is what it looked like when I completed and downloaded out of Lightroom three or four days ago. The second (7405) is what it looks like this morning.

So, I am the original poster on this thread. I may have inadvertently found a resolution to my issue, but it would be helpful if someone could explain what may be going on. I took one of the DNG files in Lightroom and I downloaded it again to my iPhone photos app.  When I did this, it had to render or re-render the image.  As a result, not only was the new downloaded image in my Photos app rendered correctly, but it suddenly fixed the DNG render in Lightroom as well. So both the Lightroom DNG version and the version in my photos app now look correct. I did this to several DNG images that were rendered with poor quality in Lightroom and they now visualize with the correct resolution in Lightroom.  Possible explanations are welcome.
