DNG previews not appearing in Local tab in Lightroom

In browsing through old photos using the Local browse feature in Lightroom, some folders show only a few photos and some show no photos at all.  When I select Show in Finder, I can see that the files that are not appearing are DNG files.  In my case, these are DNG files converted from Nikon D90 RAW files.

For a test, I imported one of the DNG files into Lightroom. I can see the file and all metadata.  When I archive the file back to the original folder, I can no longer see it.

Would it be possible to share a couple of files that do not show up in LrD?

Here are two files (a dng and jpg).  I can see these files in Lightroom Classic but cannot see them in the Local tab of Lightroom.  I believe I have determined the root cause.  From review of the metadata, these files are showing a "creation date" of December 31, 1969.  Note sure why this is the case, but the "content created" date on the dng and the "modified date" of the jpg are correct.  It appears having the 12/31/1969 content creation date is preventing these from appearing in the Local tab of Lightroom.

I am able to attach the dng to the post but when I click the Post button, it will not upload it.  Not sure why as it is well below the maximum size allowed.

Note that I can see these DNG files in Adobe Bridge - just not in the Local tab in Lightroom.
