Question

Does LR mobile keep local copies after uploading into the cloud?

Hi,

I am usually importing new pictures from SD card onto my iPad using the LR mobile version. The raw files are then automatically uploaded into the adobe cloud. Will there be a local copy on the file remaining on the hard disk of my iPad? It should actually not be necessary to keep a local copy on the iPad, as the file can be downloaded from the cloud every time I need it or do I misunderstand the way files are synchronized within the creative cloud ecosystem? If possible I  would like to avoid these local copies (in case there are such)

In theory, the raw files on the iPad would be eligible for deletion (leaving the preview behind of course) after it has been uploaded to the cloud, though that probably wouldn't be an immediate thing. You can expedite that process, however, by using the "Clear Cache" command (Settings>Local Storage tab). That will not delete any images for which the upload to the cloud is still pending, nor will it delete images that are part of a locally stored album.
