    Hello!

It sounds like Lightroom Classic has lost the 'memory' of your last export session. This usually happens when the internal temporary preference file for exports becomes corrupted, or if the destination folder from your previous export is no longer accessible (e.g., a disconnected drive or changed permissions).

Since this was working until recently, please try these steps to reset the function:

    1. Perform a 'Manual' Export First: The 'Export with Previous' button needs a fresh 'anchor.' Select a photo, go to File > Export... (Shift+Command+E), manually choose your settings and destination, and click Export. Now, try the 'Export with Previous' button on a different photo to see if it has 're-learned' the settings.
    2. Check Destination Accessibility: If your previous export was to an external drive or a synced cloud folder (like Dropbox/OneDrive) that is currently busy or disconnected, the function will fail silently. Ensure the last used folder is mounted and writable.
    3. Reset Lightroom Preferences (The 'Soft' Way): Sometimes the plist (Mac) or strings (Win) file that stores these temporary states gets stuck. Close Lightroom, then hold Shift + Alt (Option) while restarting the app. Choose to 'Reset Preferences.' Note: This will reset your interface tweaks but often fixes broken UI buttons.
    4. Check for Disk Full: If the drive you previously exported to is full, 'Export with Previous' won't trigger an error message; it will simply do nothing.

Quick Tip: If you frequently use the same settings, I highly recommend saving them as an Export Preset in the left panel of the Export dialog. This is much more reliable than 'Export with Previous' as it survives updates and preference resets."
