DPIS settings changing

I want to know can the lightroom settings change based on the picture you upload? I took a picture and edited it but once edited and sent. The receiver stated the Dpis was very low(75) and Lightroom was set at 300dpis in the settings?

You've tagged your post with Android and Windows.....so which system did you use to export/share the file?

If you used Windows, which Lightroom version did you use (Classic or Lightrioom Desktop)?

What export settings did you use, and what are the cropped dimensions of the image you exported/shared?

The DPI (or really PPI) setting really has no impact on the image. What matters is the pixel dimensions of the image. Pixel dimensions will be the same regardless of what that setting is. You cannot change the quality of an image by changing the PPI setting. An image printed 8 x 10" will display no quality difference regardless of whether the PPI setting is 72 or 300. I know because I have tried it. The critical issue is to ensure that you have sufficient pixels to print the size image you need to print.
