Drop down menus

Hi All,

I have had Lightroom for a quite a bit now, but a couple of months ago my PC died and I knew I was going to replace it with a Macbook which I have.  I have downloaded Lightroom to my Macbook but it looks different to the one I had on my PC and looks more like the one on my iPad?

It doesnt seem to have the old headings or as many drop down menus at the top, IE import, Develope, Print or Export?

Have I downloaded the wrong one or is this the new Lightroom?  I'm just a bit confused

Any help or direction would be most gratefully received.

Kindest regards

Maybe the Lightroom you had for "quite a bit"  was the 'old' Version 6 (or 6.14) often referred to as "Standalone" or "Perpetual.

Lightroom v6.14 cannot be installed on recent Mac operating systems. Lightroom 6 End of Support

(Without you quoting version numbers and more details I cannot be certain.)

The current Lightroom v6.5 is a new 'Mobile' version (for iPhones iPads, and desktop systems) that stores images in the Adobe Cloud space.- A totally different App to the 'old standalone' version that is now at v12.5 and now called Lightroom-Classic.

Lightroom-CLASSIC is the version that has the Module menu at the top (Library, Develop, Print, Book, etc) and only available in the Photography Plan (20GB)

COMPARE LIGHTROOM & LIGHTROOM-CLASSIC FEATURES

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .
