Edit in photoshop stops working in Lightroom

After the recent update of both PS & LR-CC, the option of 'Edit in Photoshop' stops working with the following error message: Edit in Photoshop failed. This is happening across the devices and albums. Request to provide the solution.

Please go to Help>System Info… and provide us with your software's installed version number.

It's Lightroom version 8.5, installed via Creative Cloud.
