Question

Error code on some photos in lightroom mobile (T20200914) and exclamation marks on some masks

Hi there,

On a few of my photos on lightroom mobile, it has a red exclamation mark and won't fully load the photo or let me edit it from the app. It has an error code of T20200914. When I googled this, it suggested it was a synching error and I should sign out and back in to my mobile app. As far as I can tell, it is onyl affecting photos from one album, which is the one I'm currently wprking on and which contains my most recent photos.

I've since logged in and out of the app. It fixed the issue with one of the photos, but not with the others. Any ideas?

Not sure if it's related, but I've noticed that on loads of my photos, which I typically edit on my desktop, when I open them on lightroom mobile there is often (but not always) an exclamation mark in a triangle for each of the masks I've applied, i.e. when you view the list of masks on the right of the phone screen. Weirdly, I can still select the mask and make adjustments to sliders.

Are one or both issues synching issues?

I have an iPhone 13 and I'm on OS 26.1. I am on Lr Mobile v 11.01 and the desktop version is 9.0.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hello @Andy Baines

If you sign into your same account at https://lightroom.adobe.com, do you have similar issues/errors working with the images there?  Or do you see a temorary folder called "Sync Issues?"  If so, can you select one of the images there and see if any additional info shows on screen?  I'm asking to try and understand if something about your image assets is corrupt or incomplete?

Back in LR iOS, could you generate and send in a diagnostic log?  Go into the LR app Settings > Help & Support, and long-press on the text "Access our support forums"

There is one unusual scenario that probably doesn't relate, since one of the images worked OK for your... Your device system clock.  Is your device date and time close to correct?  (if it's wildly wrong, this can cause the same error code... but again this seems unlikely to be your scenario)

Hi @Charlie.D and @Aleke ,

Thanks for both reaching out, and sorry for the delay. Busy Christmas, etc.

I'll first address the red warning symbol that is preventing me from opening or editing photos in my iOS app. I logged onto the web lightroom account and I didn't have any issues opening the photo, and I couldn't see any folder entitled "synch issues". It seems to just be on my iOS. I had thought that it was only affecting the most recent album I created, but I have checked older albums and I'm getting the same issue.

I long-pressed on "access our support forums" so hopefully this means you now have my diagnostic report.

The time and date settings on my laptop are accurate.

Regarding the synch issues with my masks, this still happens with some regularity, although not always.

I attach screenshots of both my red warning error code as well as the mask synch issue.

Grateful for any guidance.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi @Andy Baines, thanks so much for reaching out!
Could you share a screenshot of the issue? Also, does the error message include any details besides the error code? To check for any sync issues, you can try logging in to Lightroom Web and follow the steps here: https://adobe.ly/4pxQ8Nu.
Thanks a lot!
Alek
