Hello, I’m having an issue with Adobe Lightroom on my iPhone. I previously had a Lightroom subscription, but I cancelled it through the App Store. After cancelling the subscription, Lightroom is no longer opening properly and keeps asking me to take an action that I don’t understand. I have already deleted and reinstalled the app several times and restarted my iPhone, but the issue still continues. Could you please help me fix this issue? My Adobe ID is: [personal information removed by moderator]

Hi @realistic_idealist2ba5, Thank you for reaching out. After canceling your Lightroom subscription through the App Store, the app transitions to a free (limited) version. It sounds like the app may be showing a screen asking you to subscribe or start a trial. This can sometimes appear to make it seem like the app isn't opening properly. Here are some things to try:

    • Sign out and sign back in: Open the Lightroom app and tap your profile icon (top-left). Scroll down and tap Sign Out. Then sign back in with your Adobe ID. This refreshes your account/entitlement state.

    • Check your App Store subscription status: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone and confirm that the Lightroom subscription is fully canceled (not just set to expire). If it shows as expired, the app should allow you to use it in its free mode.

    • If you see an upsell screen: Look for a small "X" or "Skip" button (often in the top-right or top-left corner) to dismiss it. This should let you into the app's free mode, which still allows you to view and organize your photos.

    • Clear the app cache: Go to iPhone Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Lightroom, and try offloading the app (this preserves your data), then reinstalling it.

If none of these steps help, could you share a screenshot of the screen/message you're seeing? That will help us identify exactly what's happening. Thanks! ^CH
