Question

Ever since the newest Lightroom update I am not able to move files into different folders.

Is anyone else having this problem? It is weird because when I move the files do a differnt folder in lightroom it actually moves it on my computer but is still showing in the original folder in lightroom.  It's driving me crazy!

Hi @Rachel23606572j0c5! I'm checking to see if you're still experiencing this behavior. We'd be happy to get this sorted for you! Adding to what Nikunj.M asked to share, could you please share the following details as well?

 

  • Are you moving the photos inside Lightroom or from the Finder itself?
  • When you right-click a photo in Lightroom and choose "Show in Finder", do you notice the file being placed in a new folder after you drag it between albums? Or is it staying in the same place physically, and only the album association changes?

Please go to the Help menu in Lightroom, then System Info, and copy the text. You can share the info with us by either pasting it as a reply here or in a text file and sharing the file with us.
