EXIF information disappears

I'm using LR CC 3.3 on a Mac with current OS.

Randomly, the program loses EXIF info.  See attached screenshot.  This is also symptomatic that the program has become unusably unstable and has to be restarted before it's usable again.

This started only after the "upgrade" last week which has been nothing but buggy.  Is there a way to roll back to the last stable version?
