Export does not send file to original folder

Question

When I use Lightroom I always export my finished product to the same folder where the original is located. This works best for me. Recently I must have done something to change this process and I cannot figure out how to correct it. What I export now shows up in a new folder created in the same folder I normally export to. I have no idea how this happened and I cannot figure out how to get back to my original configuration.

What version of Lightroom and Windows are you using?

Could you share screenshots of your Export dialog box?

What is the location of the folder? Is it in an internal or external drive?
