Export images to photoshop

Hi, I am new to Lightroom and cannot export multiple star trail images from Lightroom to Photoshop. The Edit in Photoshop menu option is grey and not accepteing and no there is edit in drop down as exampled in all the Youtube tutorials. 

I have 254 images I am deperate to edit to get my first star trail image.

 

Advice greatly appreciated and recognise i may be missing a basic process

It sounds like you are trying to use Lightroom Desktop instead of Lightroom Classic for this process.

Lightroom desktop does not support sending multiple images to Photoshop at once. Not as layers and not as individual Photoshop documents. What you should do is export all the images as tiff, and then load them as layers from within Photoshop.
