Export jepgs - wrong metadata! And save projects: a lot of double copies

Lightroom is unusable for me: when saving the album: umpteen copies of the raw, xmp, dng files. Then when exporting as JPEG: you can only use small, medium and original size. Worse: the original recording times are gone i.e. the editing and export times are displayed as recording times. In the Web despite search nothing useful is found.

Hi Creativagentur,

That isn't a great user experience as Lightroom is exporting incorrect metadata and missing out on the original recording times in the exported file, we're sorry to hear about this. Let us help make it right.

Which version of Lightroom are you using? (Like Lightroom desktop 2.3.1)

Could you please give us a brief info of your editing workflow and how Lightroom is not being useful for it right now. We'll make note of the issues to fix and try to provide workarounds if possible.

Hi Akash,

I use the latest versions of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Lightroom Classic. When I use it to edit raw photos and export them as jpeg, the creation dates are wrong, i.e. they are no longer the same as the date they were taken. In the Finder (Mac) I don't see the date of recording anymore. You can only see the recording date via Adobe Bridge. I tried to solve the problem yesterday with other tools, but didn't succeed. I don't want the creation date to be changed, i.e. the original date should apply. I couldn't find anything about it in Lightroom Classic presets either - even if you take the metadata with you - the result is the same.

Are you attempting this export operation in Lightroom Classic or Lightroom desktop?
