When I am hitting the export button, I am not getting the options to choose the dpi, pixels . I cant control the file size. I am using the lightroom 8.5.1

Correct answer JohanElzenga

Check this: You can only choose ppi (not dpi) if you set the dimensions in inches or centimeters, not if this is set to pixels.

@JohanElzenga  You are correct of course. I didn't think the question through.

Hi @indrajit_7282,

Thanks for sharing the details. To help us understand the issue better, could you please provide a bit more information:

  • A screenshot of the export dialog box.

  • Is this happening with a specific photo or all photos?

  • Are you trying to export a single photo or a batch of photos?

  • Which format are you exporting the images to?

  • When did this start happening? Was it working fine before?

In the meantime, resetting Lightroom preferences may help. You can do this by creating a backup and restarting Lightroom:

  • Go to C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom CC\Preferences\
  • Drag the Preference's folder to your Desktop as a backup and then restart Lightroom.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Srishti

Hi Srishti,
Thanks for your response. I am a new user and installed LR a couple of
days back.
When I am clicking the export option, the dialog box is not opening.
Instead a panel with limited option is opening up. The only dialog box that
is opening up after that gives me only option to choose the destination
folder.

Then when I am clicking the Export 1 photo on the right top corner. The
below dialog box opening up

It happening with all the photos and formats.

Please help me fix this asap

thanks,
Indrajit

Hi @indrajit_7282  Your screen-clips are not showing. Use the [Insert Photos] icon on the top of your post window.

Are you exporting with the [Custom Settings ] Options?
