Exporting high resolution images from LR CC

Question

I’m noticing that exporting edited images from LR CC only allows original plus edits or JPEG.

Original plus edits gives me two files that my MAC doesn’t know what to do with. And will a 5 MB JPEG print out ok blown up to 24x36” or larger?

I’ve found how to edit the image in PS CC which gives me many choices on the exported final but seems like there would be a better way.

If you want prints that large, and you have access to Photoshop, then I would probably save the original plus edits and finish up using Photoshop and create the final print image using Photoshop. As you have mentioned, there are many more options available to you from Photoshop.
