Are you able to filter by date range - e.g. for all photos between 15 - 27 August 2005.

Have you tried it? Entering "15-27 August 2005" (without the quotes) should give you what you want.

The Lightroom desktop app even has it's own Date section in the left hand panel which allows the user to select a specific range (click on the first date, shift-click on the last date).

I have and it returned nothing (hence the question). Good to know it should work - I'll figure it out.

unfortunately the desktop app does not work well for me as my computer is old - it takes hours just to get the app to load.  But it isn't worth purchasing another computer just for that.

After playing with it a little more, I think I was wrong. Entering the range as stated earlier doesn't actually return the images from the inclusive range specified, it's only returning the images in the two specific dates entered, but nothing in between. Furthermore, if one of the two dates entered doesn't match any images in the library, then nothing is returned (which is maybe what happens with your search?). I also cant't find a way to search if the required date range expands over more than one single month.

I've checked all the various apps, all with the same result....so it seems that only the Date panel in the Lightroom desktop app can currently be used for a true date range filter. Sorry for getting your hopes up.

Apologies - should have specified this is Lightroom (not Lightroom Classic)
