Finalising images workflow

Howdy,

My general workflow is, edit in Lightroom CC, "Save to..." somewhere, then upload into my Google Drive. I prefer Google Drive for finalised images, as it works nicely with my home (chromecasts, assistant, etc.) and mobile, both run on Android and Google.

However, I was wondering what other people do, and whether they leave their images in a editable state in Create Cloud.

It's be really handy to either have a Lock function, so that an image cannot be accidentally altered if kept in CC permantently. Or have a finalise feature, that applied the edit, created a jpg/tiff, and replaced the RAW file.

Thoughts? It seems like I'm spending too much time organising work after it's edited.

    Hi Adam,

    Why do you feel the need to Save To... all of your images - why not consider what's in Lightroom CC the completed image? Despite the "Save To" name, this is really meant to be used when you need to send a copy out to the outside world.  (That said, there are always legitimate exceptions to general rules.)

    I do think that the lock idea is one worth raising with Adobe. You can request this feature here. In the meantime, keep in mind that since Lightroom works nondestructively, never touching your original image, any and all edits can be undone, now or 5 years from now, so accidental editing at least isn't fatal.
